Event Time and Date
NAACP, the Department of Mathematics, CEAT Diversity Programs, and the Student Union Activities Board are excited to invite you to watch “Hidden Figures” on April 24 in the Student Union Theater. Relive history when “three brilliant African-American women at NASA -- Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) -- serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn (Glen Powell) into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation's confidence, turned around the Space Race and galvanized the world.” Representatives from OK-LSAMP and the College of Engineering will be present at the conclusion of the event to answer questions about working as a woman in STEM and resources available at OKState. $1 concessions will be available at the door. This event is free and open to the public.
